Our Programs
Denton Animal Support Foundation’s mission is to save more Denton area animals. Growth in both the human and pet populations in the Denton area has increased the number of pets entering the shelter doors. The support that DASF provides can be crucial to continuing a high live-exit rate of the municipal shelter.
Thanks to our generous supporters, DASF provides funding for the following programs. Every dollar makes a difference to a pet in need.
-

Adoption Subsidy Grants
Adoption Subsidy funding allows shelter management to lower adoption fees to enhance adoptability of certain pets — specifically seniors, special needs, hard-to-adopt, and pets that have been overlooked.
-

Spay & Neuter
DASF is committed to reducing pet homelessness by making spay and neuter services more accessible to our community.
-

Shelter Emergency Medical Assistance
Emergency medical expense funding allows pets to receive needed medical care including medications and surgical procedures to enhance their quality of life and increase their chances of adoption.
-

Emergency Pet Food Pantry
The Emergency Pet Food Pantry offers temporary assistance to help individuals and families facing income insecurity feed their pets.
-

Free Rabies & Low-Cost Vaccine Clinics
DASF sponsors FREE Rabies vaccines at multiple low-cost vaccine clinics in the Denton area throughout the year.
-

Shelter Endowment Fund
The Shelter Endowment Fund is a permanently restricted fund providing critical support for pet programs, equipment, and facility needs in perpetuity.
