Saving Denton Animals & Serving the Denton Community
About DASF
The Denton Animal Support Foundation is a nonprofit organization whose mission is to save more Denton area animals through adoption and prevention of abandonment. We accomplish this by raising funds to support the Linda McNatt Animal Care & Adoption Center (City of Denton Animal Shelter) and the Denton pet-owner community at large.
With DASF, You Can Give a Little and Save a Lot
By donating to DASF, your contribution has the potential to be combined with hundreds of others and strategically allocated to address the most crucial needs at the Denton animal shelter or within the Denton community. Your donation could help acquire an x-ray machine that will benefit numerous shelter animals. Giving to DASF enables your contribution to have a greater impact on assisting Denton's animals in need.
Become a Paw Patron
Our monthly donors are lovingly referred to as Paw Patrons! This regular donation revenue allows DASF to budget program support in advance. Small monthly amounts add up to a large benefit for the animals. And the automatic credit card payment makes helping the animals a simple task.
Can’t sustain a monthly donation? Give a one-time gift that will help fund all our support programs.
Our Programs
DASF fulfills its mission in a multitude of ways — our programs are a testament to that! See how your donations are used to directly support the City of Denton Shelter and Denton residents.
Resources for Pet Owners
Over the years we have received a lot of questions related to many aspects of owning a pet in Denton. We’ve compiled everything we think could be of service to our fellow pet lovers. Check it out!
Introducing DASF’s Shelter Endowment Fund
Created in 2016 by generous DASF donors Dr. Jerry and Shirley Watson, donations to the Shelter Endowment Fund effectively last forever, in that distributions to the shelter are made from investment and interest earnings on the donations. When you contribute to the Shelter Endowment Fund, your gift is a legacy of love in perpetuity.
About the City of Denton Animal Shelter
We proudly exist to raise funds to support the Linda McNatt Animal Care & Adoption Center (otherwise known as the City of Denton Animal Shelter). However, DASF does not operate the shelter and is not involved in shelter management, policies, or decisions. For more information about the shelter, or to view lost or adoptable animals, please visit the City of Denton Animal Shelter website.
