Volunteer Opportunities
Volunteering is a great way to help the Denton Animal Support Foundation.
We have a few volunteer opportunities, so sign up for the one that best suits you, and get started!
Be a Pet Food Pantry Volunteer!
We can always use a hand at the DASF Emergency Pet Food Pantry. Volunteering at the pantry will involve filling and labeling pet food bags to be distributed, lifting and moving bags — some weigh up to 50 lbs, so please be aware that you may be required to lift that weight — and transporting the food. This last task happens once a month and does require that our volunteers have a valid driver’s license.
Volunteer at the Vaccination Clinic
DASF is also looking for volunteers at our pet vaccination clinics. In partnership with Texas Coalition for Animal Protection (TCAP), we host vaccine clinics to protect Denton animals. Our clinic volunteers would help us to secure locations to host the vaccination clinics and attend up to five community events each year to assist us with non-medical tasks. These might include parking assistance, tabling, line management, and passing out paperwork.
If you are interested in volunteering with us at our vaccination clinics or food pantry, or have questions about volunteering, reach out to Sharon McCallister at volunteer@dentonasf.com. We hope to see you soon!
